Hello everybody,
Welcome to this "beautiful" online space. It is my first attempt ever to build something in the www, so I hope You will excuse the lack of any fancy decoration or stylish architecture.
Just a few words about the title: it does not want to refer directly to Plutarch, and those of You who actually know the piece by the Greek author will understand why.
In this blog I will publish my current research in the fields of history, literature and (for how odd it may sound), spirits and wines; ideally, only topics where the three are interrelated will be the object of my attention.
In fact, this space has no specifc purpose or aim. I will initially set it up as a personal room for reflection on topics that prick my interest, but future changes of direction, if required, are clearly possible; hopefully, they will not be necessary.
The next post will come shortly; it will focus on the life of the greatest diplomatic figure of the XIXth century seen from an original point of view. I just need some time to gather more information and organize my existing material.
